Connection¶

You can connect an attribute to another attribute if they share the same type. The connection will drive the attribute value by the source attribute.

Create a connection

Select the node that has the source attribute.
Create a connection by holding down Ctrl and when on the source attribute in a Properties view, then moving mouse on the attribute to drive and releasing mouse button.

You will need to lock or duplicate a Properties view if you want to create a connection between attributes on different nodes.

It is not possible to modify or animate an attribute once driven by a connection.

You can select the source node of a connected attribute.

Select a connection

Select the node that has a driven attribute.
Select connection by holding down when on the driven attribute in a Properties view, then using 'Select Connection'.

You can break a connection between attributes at any time.

Break a connection

Select the node that has a driven attribute.
Break connection by holding down when on the driven attribute in a Properties view, then using 'Break Connection'.
